Take a look around - every city is full of abandoned and unloved spaces begging to be enlivened!

As part of Bike Week 2006, an empty lot where a gas station once stood was brought back to life with giant scrabble and croquet, live music, food, and lots of picnic fun. When the whole neighbourhood is invited out to share the fun how could anyone complain?
